Border Oak Farmhouse
An exciting collaboration with Border Oak Design & Build, this Arts & Crafts inspired home full of bold pattern and colour evokes a characterful and dynamic space.
Working alongside Merry Albright, Creative Director at Border Oak, our design concept was based upon Arts & Crafts principles to complement the property’s construction, but to bear in mind a contemporary flourish to reflect the build itself. The overall neutral colour palette was livened up with rich accents, such as deep blues, rich reds and statement Williams Morris wallpapers throughout. Warm and soft textures were used to encourage the client to relax, while a symmetrical layout was created to hint at formality.
The overall design was in a contemporary style with practical solid finishes such as wood and stone, and a thoughtful approach to sourcing handmade, artisan and bespoke products to support the Arts & Crafts principles was at the core of this project.
